What is VPN – Virtual Private Network – used for?

When off campus, VPN can be used to access network resources typically available only on campus. For directions specific to connecting to Colleague, read our Colleague-specific VPN connections.

Type Provides access to Installation Directions
Network Storage / Departmental Storage  PCs/Macs - Installing AnyConnect
iOS Devices - AnyConnect for iOS
Android Devices - AnyConnect for Android
  1. Open AnyConnect and enter into the drop-down field. If you are using an iOS or Android device, open the app and proceed to the next step.
  2. Click 'Connect.'
  3. Select 'AnyConnect' as the Group, then enter your Elon email username and password in the appropriate fields.
  4. You should now be connected to VPN and able to access your network drives.
