Located on the third floor of Powell, this room seats up to 30 students and features a desktop computer and projector system.

How to Use Room: Base Level Operations

  1. To turn on the desktop computer, press the power button on the right side of the CPU (located on the right side of the equipment rack).
  2. Turn on the computer monitor by pressing the power button on the bottom right side of the screen.
  3. Login with your Elon email and password.
  4. Tap the Crestron touch panel to turn on projector system. It will take 30 seconds to warm up.
  5. On the Crestron panel, select the input you would like to display on the screen.

1.) Desktop Computer (Acer)

Basic Instructions

  1. To turn on the computer, first press the power button on the right side of the CPU (located on the right side of the equipment rack.
  2. To turn on the monitor, press the power button on the bottom right side of the screen.
  3. Login with your Elon email and password.
  4. To turn the computer off, select the Windows button on the bottom left side of the desktop, and then click the Shut Down button, located to the right of the display window.

2.) Touch Panel (Crestron)

Basic Instructions

  1. Touch the screen to turn on the system. The system will take 30 seconds to warm up.
  2. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (see pictures below).
    1. Computer inputs (VGA) are built into the top of the work station.
    2. To play a DVD, select the DVD tab on the touch panel. DVDs can be played with the Sony player located in the middle of the equipment rack in the work station.

    3. To play a VCR, select the VCR tab on the touch panel. VCRs can be played with the Sony player located in the middle of the equipment rack in the work station.
    4. To play a CD, select the CD tab on the touch panel. CDs can be played from the Dell CPU. Insert the CD into the tray (Dell CPU located on the top of the equipment rack in the work station).
    5. Other devices, such as laptops, can be connected via the AUX cord.
    6. Press "Image Mute", located on the top left to mute the screen image and adjust the height of the projector screen.
  3. To turn the system off, press the System Off button located on the top right of the touch screen control.

3.) Projector (NEC)

Basic Instructions

  1. Tap the touch panel to turn on the projector system.
  2. It will take about 30 seconds for the system to warm up.
  3. Select your desired input on the touch panel.
  4. Ensure that the connected device is turned on.

Additional Room Features

Extron Cable Cubby

Located to the left of the desktop computer is an Extron Cable Cubby, which provides inputs for: 1) VGA, 2) Composite, 3) Ethernet, 4) Auxiliary, and 5) Electrical.

Overhead Projector

This room also features a portable overhead projector.

Basic Instructions

  1. Press the red corner button to turn on the projector.
  2. The projector light can be adjusted using the black adjustment buttons located on the middle of the projector.
  3. Projector elevation can be adjusted using the black circular knob, located on the upright projector arm.
  4. To turn the projector off, press the red corner button.
