Configuring the elonu-secure wireless network on your mobile device


How to connect your iPad, iPod Touch, or iPhone to the Elon University wireless network

  1. Press the Menu button
  2. Press the Settings Icon
  3. Press Wi-Fi
  4. Press elonu-secure
  5. Type Email address (formatted as username@elon.edu)
  6. Type Email password
  7. Press Join
  8. Look beside elonu-secure for a check mark. This indicates you are successfully connected to the Elon wireless network.
  9. Press the Menu button to complete the process

Android device settings for the elonu-secure

The settings vary between Android devices.

    If owners of Verizon Iphone 4's have trouble joining the Elon-Secure network, they need to re-boot their phones and try again. Mine worked the 2nd attempt after re-booting!

      Due to variations in Android devices, not every Android-based device will work in the same way, therefore we cannot guarantee a 'one-stop shop' set of instructions.

      However, you could try locating your Android's Settings functions and access the Wi-Fi Settings for Wireless and network. Make sure that the wireless is on, and locate elonu-secure under the list of Wi-Fi networks. You should be prompted for a username and password, where you will enter your Elon email username (yourname@elon.edu) and your password.
